Founded by J/R (Jessa Rosa) Mendoza-Gruenberg, Narrativa is a signature wedding and events creative studio. Based in La Jolla, San Diego, our approach isn’t just about planning beautiful weddings or organizing impressive galas—it’s about designing meaningful experiences that honor love stories, elevate community, and leave a lasting legacy.

J/R Mendoza-Gruenberg is the visionary behind Narrativa. A former Emmy Award–winning producer, she brings the eye of a storyteller and the precision of a creative director to every celebration. Her background spans marketing, production, and event design, giving her a rare ability to merge artistry and storytelling, with seamless execution.
As a San Diego wedding / event planner and creative director, J/R blends professionalism with warmth. She believes true luxury lies in creating experiences where hosts can be fully present, and guests leave with memories that feel personal, meaningful, and unforgettable.
When she isn’t designing story-driven events, J/R is a devoted wife, mother, and philanthropist—committed to elevating community causes and creating space for joy, connection, and legacy.
